Tool for setting the balance screws, micro-star shape. For calibers 1530, 1570, 2130, 3035, 3055, 3135, 3155 and similar.

The main features of the balance wheels of these calibers are as follows :

- They are fitted with 2 pairs of typically micro-star shaped screws

- These screws are adjustable and allow setting over a range of 150 seconds per day

- One of the pairs of screws has «low heads» ; one division of the graduated scale represents 1 second per day

- One of the pairs of screws has «high heads» ; one division of the graduated scale represents 2 seconds per day

- To set the watch on «fast», turn the screw clockwise***

- To set the watch on «slow», turn the screw anti-clockwise.

How to set the balance wheel:

- Make the adjustments exactly the same on each pair of opposite screws, to keep the balance wheel in perfect equilibrium ; if you turn a single screw only, that will cause imbalance

- You can work on the fitted balance wheel while holding it with tweezers and taking all the usual precautions so as not to break the balance wheel pin

- After making the corrections, check how the watch and the balance wheel are running by means of appropriate instruments in various positions : dial up ; dial down ; 9 o-clock vertical crown down ; 6 o’clock vertical crown to the left ; 3 o’clock vertical crown up.

- The old calibers such as the 1530 and derivatives have screws fitted on the outside ; by turning clockwise the screw is tightened and moves inwards : the watch goes forward. The same result is achieved with the new calibers such as 3035, 3135, 2130, …, which have screws fitted on the inside ; by turning clockwise, the screw is loosened and moves inwards : the watch goes forward.
